It worked, and that is about the only good thing you could say about that old web page. And then it only worked if it wanted to.

It's design was pre-determined by its software genetics, a simple, yet horribly slow and mindless online tool called "WebSite Tonight" provided by GoDaddy, our web site hosting company.

If we had the patience of a monk to forgive its many software crashes and an expected lifetime of Methuselah to wait for it to render, we might have stayed with it. But we don't. We did not want a web site that looked like it belonged in the 1950s; that was inflexible, constricting, and painful to the eye like a medieval Iron Lady; and--reminicent of old Henry Ford--offering any background color, as long as it is black.

Now that the old web page passed away into cyber-heaven, with euthanistic prodding from our side, this web site will hopefully be less time-consuming, more flexible, and more responsive to your suggestions.
