If you would like to join the Singles Ladder for the current calendar year, simply click the “Buy Now " button on the left (the price is $30). The rules can be found at the bottom of this page. Three things are important to note:

1) It is important to have joined our Yahoo group to make sure you are informed daily of the activities and the schedule.

2) It is also important that you provide us with your contact information. You will receive the rules/policies per e-mail. These rules are simple, common sense rules, but if you disagree, we will offer you a full refund. After you have accepted these rules/policies, we will grant you access to our Members Only pages, which include the Singles ladder rankings.

3) Finally, it is also important that we know your level of play, so we suggest booking first an assessment.

Please remember rule number one: we are here to have  fun!

Ladder rules
 

• You will be able to contact other ladder players via e-mail to challenge them for a position on the ladder. Agree per e-mail exchange on a mutually convenient time and place.
• Standard rules apply: Best of three sets, with each set, if necessary, decided by a tiebreaker.
• Each player brings a new can of balls. The winner keeps the unopened can of balls.
• Results are reported to TennisLink, so they can be posted on the web site.
• If a match is left unfinished, then the latest score must be reported by the current leader in the contest. If after one week the match is not finished and the results reported, the player winning at the time of postponement wins.

A new twist to the 2008 ladder
 

At the start of the 2008 season, we will sort players loosely according to level of play and the results of the 2007 tennis events and ladder. The intention is to allow players to find partners and opponents of roughly the same level of play not too far away from their placement on the ladder.
